Kiwon Sung, Esq., spoke at Step Up 2023, a startup conference hosted by KSEA

Kiwon Sung, Esq., delivered a lecture regarding "Startup Investment in the U.S." at Step Up 2023, which is one of the largest events hosted by Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA), that is designed to share useful information on entrepreneurship and promote exchange among Korean startups in the U.S.

This year's Step Up 2023 was held at the Newport Beach Hyatt Regency John Wayne Airport Hotel for two days from May 20, 2023 to May 21, 2021, and was attended by about 130 participants, including SoCal K-group management and members, startup founders and entrepreneurs, professionals, and investors.

On the second day, May 21, 2023, Mr. Sung spoke at "Session VI: Road to Success". He explained in detail about SAFE and Convertible Note methods, which are commonly used by startups in the U.S. to receive early-stage investment, and shared his experiences and views that can be helpful to entrepreneurs from a practical perspective, such as what founders need to pay attention to when receiving an investment in SAFE or Convertible Notes and issuing preferred stocks.
